Before the Snow Flies Again

Yesterday was a cold morning, and I wondered if I'd ever see another deck day this year before the snow flies, but God heard my thoughts and brought sunshine.

He invited me out on the deck to sit for a spell, and we did. With feet up on the orange lounge chair I supped with my Lord, flipping through pages of Philippians, then 1 Peter, until finally ending our chat somewhere in the pages of Proverbs. He had much to say, while I listened intently. Finally with the warm sun on my face I began to nod off. It was time to pick up King James and head back in the house.

In my Father's house there are many mansions. Little corners, nooks, decks and stairwells, where for eternity we'll sit and sup with our Lord in the warmth of His light. Until then I'll wait Lord, perhaps You'll send some more deck days my way, or perhaps you'll return, before the snow flies again.

Wonderful! God is so good. I mean, what a loving God to want to spend some much time with his Children. We are so blessed!

I am praying for a long Autumn season.

Hugs!

How lovely! I've experienced "deck moments" myself, only mine usually occur in a park or somewhere out in nature. (This is just because I don't have a deck. I do, however, have a patio, but as your friends who went to Florida can attest, it's still boiling hot out here!)

I loved that!
Thanks for rejoicing with me Darlene with our "prodigal come home". There is more news to share, which I may get it all into blog form by the weekend. But the Lord used a life, that some people would think "not useful" because of her mental condition. But God can use what and who He chooses to use to reach His children! He is still using the life of this little lady. The sister of the deceased has encouraged Tiffany, and the sister has used the testimony of Tiffany to help another worker! The other lady asked "the sister" to pray with her! As we say in the South---"Ain't God good?"
Thanks again Darlene for listening to the voice of the Father!

Oh, those beautiful quiet mornings our on a deck are my favorite part of vacations! I just love it! At home, my chair and coffee are inside in the quietness of my home as it is usually way too dark on my deck at that hour of the morning, and even a little chilly these days. What a great thought about heaven...

Simple. And so beautiful. Thank you for inspiring me to seek out my own 'deck moments' even though I don't have a deck -- and even when the weather's so icky that I wouldn't want to use it!

Oh, deck days are wonderful gifts! How wonderful that you seized the opportunity to sit a spell with HIM...often we step out onto the deck and forget to sit!
It reminds me of Max Lucado's, Great House of God...so many rooms, so many opportunities!
What a blessing you experienced!!
Peace tonight!
