Major Hottie Alert!
The term "hottie" has been Maddy's favorite word since Zac Efron appeared on our TV screen. If you don't know Zac Efron ladies, Google him, and you'll see that he is. I think he's the new David Cassidy, but saying that has just aged me three decades. He's the latest teen idol since his role as Troy on Disney's "High School Musical."
Anyway, some teenaged guys whistled and waved at Maddy and I the other day. I still get a wave every once in a while, but it's only when things are moving by quickly. And it's more like a drive by shooting than an actual pass. I'm not comfortable with the whole thing around the young ones, so I passed on the torch, "Oooh you're a hottie," I teased Maddy as we turned in the driveway.
"No," she said. "Dad's a hottie! You just take one look at him and your brain is yelling, 'Major hottie alert!'"
I just sat there stunned for a minute--did I hear right? My daughter just called my husband a major hottie? lol
Yep, that made his night!

That is TO funny!! And yay for you for still getting "the look" or the wave in you case!! =)
Thank you so much for your encouraging words, I needed it!! I believing in victory this time, it's on it's way!! Have a great Sunday!!
That's a great story. We'll see how much of a hottie Dad is, the first time he says no to the car keys. That's a ways off yet, though, so he should enjoy the moment.
That's too funny!!
Awww too cute - at least she can still say that now! I used to always say I would marry my dad when I was little.
That is so great! You can tell she's proud of her daddy! :)
That is too cute!!!
The whistle, wave, look is so way past me, I wouldn't know what to do if it happened!!! Good for you that you did!!! :-)
(Actually, I did get a "somewhat" wave the other day, when my sister and I were driving home from Pensacola Hospital in the interstate....she was driving, but obviously not fast enough, for some poor fellow gave me a wave of a "finger".....wasn't a friendly gesture.)
Darlene,
That is really funny...you know deep inside we all need that "hottie" feeling!:)
Just the other day a friend of mines, 13 year old daughter said that I was "THE BOMB...DIGGITY!" Not totally sure what that meant, but I know it was a term of endearment and I think I walked a little taller for 2 days afterwards!!
I just love those stories of yours!!
Peace today,
lori
that is just adorable!!! i think my dad is gorgeous- and when he was younger he looked like robbie williams (who i adore)...
as for zac... i'll stick with older hotties thanx.
What's so cute about that is that kids really want their parents to delight in each other! After a certain age, though, they'd rather die than admit it.
ADORABLE!!! I've been desperately trying to convince my 11 & 9 yrs old boys that dad & I were once cool...to no avail!
