Live Well!

I wanted to introduce my baby to all you (approximately three) readers. lol
Last winter I spent so much of my time working on writing a new book. It began as a focus on Womanhood, but I felt a constant pull toward healthy living--spirit, body, and soul.
Recently, I decided to use the writing for a column at CWO to help women who also struggle with similar issues.
"Live Well" inspires women to make healthier choices that result in losing weight, maintaining a healthy body, and getting our lives on track with God.
Through "Live Well," I focus on how the spirit influences our soul, and how our souls greatly influence the choices we make for our bodies and lifestyle. By feeding and nurturing our spirit and soul, we free our bodies from the captivity of sin, bringing glory to God and peace to our lives.
Weight loss has been a constant issue with me for years--as with many women--but it's been about ten years now since I've been able to control the pull of the refrigerator.

Thanks for stopping by! Stair dancing is great! We actually do something we call 'dance-break clean-up' where we crank the music and clean up as much as we can during the slower songs and then have a dance break when faster ones come on. It's amazing how much of a work-out that is for half an hour!!
I was also impressed to discover you were a fellow Manitoban!! I didn't know that until reading your article yesterday. Nice to 'meet' you!!
Your article on CWO really hit home and I appreciate your frankness. 'Lacking will-power' is really not an excuse, is it? That's just another way of saying "I'm not interested in having God help me with this and really working at it."
Darlene,
What a wonderful idea...I try and whole heartedly live with completeness in spirit and body...I will be one of the "three" who will be reading!! I LOVE it!
thank you for sharing!
Whoops, I made my response comment on your previous post by mistake!!

Hey, my husband and I are Glenlawn grads as well!!! He even went to Glenwood! I went to Minnetonka; grew up on Vista Ave. This is just so weird!!
Man, what a small world!! I'm grad '90 and Greg's from '92. He does know a Joyal, but I'm not sure which one. I went to school with Doug Humphreys (gr. 4-12) and Chris Boyd (gr. 4-6 -- I'm sorry to hear he passed away.) Darren Neufeld was also in some of my high school classes and Sharleen and I sort of hung out with the same group of friends. (She dated the guy I had a HUGE crush on!!)
This is just so cool!!
Hey there, I really enjoyed this article. You touched on some great points that I will need to pray about! Great writing my dear!
Blessings
I am excited about this! This is definitely something I NEED! (At 45 and an extra 40 lbs over what I have been almost all my adult life) I can say that here....because my husband (who I never let him see me weigh) will never be over here reading! It takes all I can do to remind him that I blog!!! So my "secret is safe". But help!!!! 40lbs off!!!!
I'm going to have to check out this section. The doc told me to lose weight and work on cholesteral, etc. He gave me three months. Can you do miracles? :)
This is great, count me in sweetie.
