The Photos Are Here!!

Finally the photos are here. How many months has it been? :)

I was about to walk in the door the other day when my brother in-law drove up with his camera. My sister had sent him to take photos of our new deck. Wow, sisters sure know what our blogs need don't they? While he was at it, I asked him to take a few of the gardens too.

I designed the deck, and a friend built it for us. We have a high basement with large windows, so it was tricky as we had to either stay above or below them. We still want to close the bottom of the deck in with fence boards.

Please bear in mind that this was an awfully busy week, and I hadn't weeded in days!

Without further ado...welcome to my garden--our family's labour of love:

I am seriously impressed. On top of everthing else, you design decks too?

I wanted to let you know I tagged you with a blog award. You can check it out on my blog. No pressure to participate, but I wanted you to know. You rock! :-)

A work of art! Bet those flower beds make cutting the grass a pain in the blade, though.

The deck looks wonderful. I like the orange colour you gave it. Looks comfortable for any part of the day to enjoy a cup of tea or ice tea. You'll have to have some us over to enjoy the deck with friends.

I vaguely remember that blog you mentioned. I didn't read it at the time, but I remember you talking about it. Thanks for the encouragement, though! I'm glad to know that I'm not the only experiencing this up-again down-again weight stuff!

And those gardens? Girl, you have a gift with dirt ~smile~. Next time I head west, I am checking you up ~grin~.

Thank you so much for sharing this. Gave me a lot of good ideas. My daughter has been wanting to do a garden for a while now, but I am not good at it and honestly kind of scared.
