Lilac Tree? Yes--tree.

On my last post, Diane left a comment which read "lilac...tree? And the answer is, yes, I did mean tree--isn't that cool? It's only this year that I noticed a few people have these amazing trees that are full of lilacs, but they aren't bushes--they're actual trees. So I went to the nursery and asked the guy if they had any. What I was able to get is this really cool tree that I'm so in love with.

How they grow it is that they take a trunk from a regular young tree, and they graphed a lilac bush into the top of it, so it's like a bush on a tree trunk. How cool!! Mine will only grow 10 to 15 feet, which is a nice size for the front yard. My neighbours also have burning bush trees, so I guess this bush on a stick thing is becoming rather popular--or should I say "poplar" :)

Made me chuckle.

Sounds like a cool tree. I might have to look in to it, myself. Like crystal, I would love to see a photo of it one of these days.

How cool that they have come up with a lilac tree.
While I was reading how they graphed a lilac bush into the top I was reminded how we are graphed into His branches to stay rooted in Him...

Be blessed today and always.

I love that discription! Just what God does with us....takes us as we are, graphs us into Him, to make us what "HE WANTS US TO BECOME"!
I love changing things and rearranging them in the garden!
Your yard will be spectacular! Now, how about some pictures!
God bless you big time!

Thanks for the clarification--a lilac tree! Who knew!

AND I LOVE the picture metaphor....grafted....as unto our Lord! What a visual reminder!
