Does it get any cuter?
Does is get any cuter than this? Graham is a saver if I ever saw one. He gets five dollars/week allowance, and most weeks doesn't spend a dime until he saves enough to buy the big things he wants like a video game. Last week he earned $10.00 by saving his allowance for 10 weeks--it was a deal I made him.
This morning he decided that he'd save enough money for lumber so Dad could build him a church in our back yard. I told Michael that wasn't such a bad idea since gas is quite expensive these days :) Well, if that wasn't enough, Graham also informed us that he plans to buy his own pastor. Too cute!
So we go to Tim Horton's and I'm standing in line waiting for my iced cappucino, and Graham says, "Mom, can you buy me a drink?"
I reminded him that we'd be going to 7-11 next and that he could buy himself a drink there.
"No, Mom," he says, "remember? I'm saving up to buy a pastor!"
"Why don't you just be the pastor?" I asked, "You'd save yourself a lot of money."
His adorable little eyes looked up to explain, "No, mom. I haven't read the whole Bible yet, so I can't."

We'll need a photo of that church! I can see him in his robes preaching now.
Totally adorable! that one is destined for something special for sure! Tell him that he can preach from the stuff he's read so far ;)
wow!!! WTG Graham
oh he is so sweet
and wow you have a church in your own backyard
may I come and worship there??? please :)
Graham can speak to me about he has read so far :)
Can I be a member of his church? He already has taught me so much. That kids sure is gifted and your articles crack me up. Tell him he will be a good pastor if he reads the "whole" bible. I know some pastors who have totally omitted the old testament. Didn't even know why there was a rainbow in the sky. Hee Hee.
Great post! I love it! Unless you wish to keep this to yourself, I'd like to use it as an illustration for Sunday School or a sermon some time.
Please, please, pleeeaaassseee?

I like that young man.
You are doing a lot of things right there, Miz Darlene.
When Graham has that church and pastor, I'd like to come visit. ~smile~
All's grace,
Ann
What a cute post!
I love what children have to say! They are so smart.
Sometimes we adults would be wise to listen wouldn't we?
