The Garden
I finally got my three gardens all planted the other night, and my mom called, saying "are you ready to put my flowers in!" Wow, I asked God for a little gardening job in heaven, and He started already. lol
I want to get some photos of my garden on the blog, but I think I'll wait until July, when the flowers are in full bloom. I think it looks great, but so does a five-year-old when they draw their first gangly stick guy with spider hands and club feet, "Wow, that looks great, honey!" I say, as does my friends, except they don't call me honey. In fact they don't call me at all...sniff.
I've been creative with curvy lines that parallel each other forming a walking path, and I've sunk a large boulder in the soil surrounded by smaller ones amongst the flowers. I bought two victorian-like planters that stand tall and put a basket of flowers in each. They stand at each end of the garden that borders the sidewalk. My best find was a habiscus tree that I put into a planter, and recessed in the kidney shaped garden. It looks cool, and gives the second garden height. These are really small gardens, but they're cute.
Come and sit with me by the garden in the shade of the habiscus tree, I'll give you a glass of iced tea and we'll gab about God.

That sounds absolutely divine. Sigh. What could be more perfect than sipping iced tea in a beautiful garden? I imagine that's what God intended for us when He created the Garden of Eden. Since that was God's original plan for creation, I have no doubt that you will have a garden in heaven! Hopefully God will give me a green thumb in heaven, otherwise mine will die. Can I come visit you in yours? :)
Oh I wish I could be there =)))
July??!! What do you mean making us wait until July?! How about a sneak preview so we can appreciate how much it has grown in July...Some before and afters please!! :)))
I just love a good garden..can you tell??
Lisa

Sounds like fun.....next time I am in the Winnipeg area I will give you a dingle......I really want a garden but I might have to wait a bit for one......until I can figure out what I want to do with this huge sandbox in my backyard that no one will use....
Sounds great! I'm with Lisa, please do not make us wait until July. I love gardens, but they don't seem to like me much. My daughter and I want to start a vegetable garden and a regular (flower)garden, hopefully they will like her better.LOL
God Bless,
JEN
The discription of the gardens sound wonderful. Planted some flowers and my garden just today. I'l have to come over and see your gardens rather then wait for pictures.
Iced Tea? My best was sipping Iced Tea along the River Walk in San Antonio...but then there were the long hot summer days of using my Iced Tea Maker in Winnipeg....sure wish I still had it....post us some photos of your garden....
It sounds wonderful, your garden and your invitation to chat about our Lord, with a cool drink in my hand.
Blessings on your day and always.
