8 Things About Me

Laurel Wreath tagged me with a meme that involves telling 8 things about myself that you likely don't know. Sounds fun!

Directions:

Here are the rules she listed: Each player starts with 8 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged write a blog post about their own 8 random things and post these rules. At the end of your blog you need to tag 8 people and post their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment and tell them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

Let the game begin! :)

1. I have a crooked arm from a breach birth. It's not gangly crooked, but slightly, and even though I've had it all of my life, it still bugs me sometimes because it doesn't function the same. It's like my arm was removed and replaced sideways.

2. I have five sisters older then me and two are online. One is "One of Six" and the other is "Bonnie's Kitchen."

3. I burned a garage down when I was about six.

4. I'm short, standing at 5'1".

5.I am a potato chip addict, along with the other well known addiction of beef stroganoff.

6. I have benign tremors, so my hands shake a lot and I look nervous.

7. Unlike Laurel, I hate to cook and will avoid it at all costs, but being a mom means I can't avoid it unfortunately :(

8. Lastly, I am the farthest thing from confrontational and would do anything to avoid an arguement, unless it's with my husband--lucky guy.

Now, I'll tag eight, and I'm going after some of the guys this time--and a few girls. I would have tagged you too Tim, but I can't find your URL since I deleted my blogroll, argh!...

Did you mean this Tim?

So now your resorting to memes? And its not even a cool meme like my first vinyl that you did not do. And we are the same two people who have declined memes for a long time.

I'll do your meme. But you have to answer my email first.

Yes, that's the Tim! Thanks Big White Hat. I wanted to do your vinyl post, but too often I don't get around to blogging when the meme comes out, that was the case. And yes, I declined memes for what might be three years! lol I didn't know that you did too! We have fallen prey to the meme crowd.

And wow you have a lot of demands!! I answered your email, so write the meme please lol.

Don't feel like the Lone Short Ranger..I'm only 5'2..:))

And the potato chips? Lay's Kettle cooked are the hands down best...you gotta love crunch to like them though...Lately I've been trying to replace them with granola bars..

And it really is okay to meme every once in awhile...we'd have never known all this about you otherwise!

I just did this too, but it only had 7 things...I guess you got the deluxe version..:)

Hope you had a wonderful mother's day!

You burned a garage down when you were about six???
How???

Blogger Darlene said...

Yay, Joe! You go!

Jen, my four year old friend and I were playing with matches around the yard--I'd light and she'd stamp them out. We set several of them around the yard before heading down the backlane where we found a pile of leaves behind a garage. I lit the leaves on fire, and she tried to stamp them out, but the fire got out of control, so we took off. About 10 minutes later we heard the fire trucks rounding the corner and we had no idea that the garage was in flames because we were hiding in our beds.

Dear Ms Schacht,
Mission accomplished.
As you asked, I told eight deep dark secrets (ten, actually) and tagged a few unsuspecting bloggers, directing all readers to link to your great new magazine site, Christian Online Women (COW).
Sincerely yours,

where did you get the matches???
did you get in big trouble???

Jen, my mom and dad were smokers in the old days, so we always had matches around the end tables or the kitchen drawers.

I got in big trouble!! My parents knew it was one of us six girls, because there were burnt matches all over the inside of the front porch and the yard. I didn't admit to it at first, so they lined the six of us up and drilled us till I started crying. I remember having to stay in the house for a week. I probably got a good spanking too. And I ratted out my friend who also got in trouble.

Great list! How did you burn down your parents' garage? That must have been a bad day, lol.

Most of the things I didn't know about you -- except the cooking and the beef troganoff "addiction".

Very cool that two of your sisters are on-line as well.

Thank you for sharing so openly. I would have tagged you with it, but Laurel tagged us both at the same time.

Blessings on your day and always.

Just a garage? Shoot, I tried to burn down a huge grain shed. Just too much fun . . . except I also used gasoline . . . and I was older. Even now I think what could have been . . . like a big explosion and an early date with my Creator.

So, I don't play with matches anymore. I've graduated to lighters. :)

I'm sure it's been said before, but I imagined you taller. :)

At 5'3 I'm the giant in my family! My sister, mom grandmother, almost everyone was barely 5 feet. I actually thought I was tall until I went to college and realized there were others taller than me!

BTW, thanks for the Writer...Interrupted button in your sidebar!
