Guess what I got today for my birthday? And, no it's not a mustache--that was last year :)
I also got a firepit for the backyard, and I'm raring to garden and whip the yard into shape this year! Since we moved in a few years ago I didn't plant anything, but I absolutely LOVE gardening and plan to start breaking ground soon. I hope I get to garden in heaven. What would it be like without weeds?
Please Lord, just a few weeds, I do love digging them so...

Laurel, yes, I got my teeth whitened! Yay! I've wanted that for years, but it was too frivolous, so I asked my husband if I could get it for my birthday. I look scary in that photo. :)--ting!

Wow what great birthday presents....I want to not turn 40 for my birthday present.....but I don't think God will grant that kind of request...:o)) I love gardening too...I am just itching to get out into my yard to rake and plan all the things I can do with this yard since we just moved here at Christmas...

That is so cute..I wish my kids loved pulling weeds as much as you do? I love the planting and the pruning..and of course then the displaying of the beautiful flowers..
I can only imagine how much our Lord loves gardening when He captures the essence of it so often in parables and biblical teachings.

Wow what a nice "ting smile". Happy B-Day Darlene. I pray many more as happy as this one. Is it true what Crystal said about God and granting B-day wishes because I am 32 now and have been praying that when I turn 35 I will start going backwards. You know 34, 33, 32, etc... I am going to stand firm in believeing that He will grant that for me and if I look as good as you do at 40, no one will be able to convince me different.

Ooh, I'm jealous. I got whitening trays from the dentist a year ago, tried it a couple of times, but my teeth were too sensitive. Haven't tried it since. Maybe getting them whitened all at once is the way to go!

We got a firepit at Christmas and I'm so excited getting the yard ready to place it perfectly in the garden! We started working on it last week and if I can keep my husband working on it we'll be ready to sit out and enjoy it in a few weeks!
